Whenever I go on holiday my camcorder goes with me. It is always pre-prepared and immediately available, ready for an instant clip. Just like a typical tourist! You know the problems - Just arrived at this new location. Must take that unusual scene. Where can I go to avoid the mixture of sun and shade while panning? Wish that couple would stop photographing each other just where I want to be! So bright that I can hardly see anything on the LCD screen! Don't know what to call this scene on the commentary, but my party is dissapearing out of view! So different from working in a studio type setting.
I believe, though, that the ultimate play back from a DVD rcording of the edited clips justifies the 'messing about' and time spent. It enables one to recall the events in much greater detail than by thumbing through a traditional photo album. And this web site makes some of them even more readily available.
Video recordings are available for previous holidays in Prague, Hungary and Egypt, but they have not yet been included here.
